Words Can Heal Action Steps at Kids and School

More Action Steps

1. Do your next class project or presentation on Words Can Heal. You can download the WCH tips and tools and present them. Add a story or two from your own life.

2. Ask your teacher or principal to blow up the WCH pledge and post it with a pen so all the kids and teachers can sign the pledge. Ask them to distribute the WCH pledge, tips and tools.

3. Start a WCH newsletter in your class or school. You can take ideas from our newsletter, book, and website and have students write their own ideas and experiences for the newsletter.

4. Have a WCH Day in your class or school. Ask everyone to say the pledge at the beginning of the day and work extra hard this day not to gossip or use harsh language. Remind people to think before they speak and to stop a conversation going the wrong way with, "Hey, today is Words Can Heal Day."

5. Be the WCH model. The best way to tell people about WCH is to practice it! When you go with a smile and a kind word for everyone, your happiness will light up the room.
